Hot Cross Buns
Preschool Piano Lesson learning the nursery rhyme "Hot Cross Buns" incorporating WunderKeys Piano for Preschoolers and Preschool Prodigies with solfege.
Middleton 🐭 mouse (3rd finger)
Pointer 🐼 panda (2nd finger)
Thumbelina 🐘 (3rd finger)
The idea is that the preschooler places their three fingers over the solfege below:-
In other words, place their middleton mouse (third finger) over the E, then their pointer panda (second finger) over the D and their thumbelina (thumb) over middle c.
They will then play either their third finger, second finger or thumb, according to the order below.
3 - 2 - 1
3 -2 - 1
1 - 1 - 1 - 1
2 - 2 - 2 - 2
3 - 2 - 1
We started by tapping our fingers on the table.
Then we played the desk bells, yellow, orange and red, as well as the xylophone.
Then we moved across to the piano to play the notes on the piano.
This is a nice and easy piece to play on the piano, perfect for beginners, particularly preschoolers.

Having successfully completed my pre-cleanse I was now ready to begin my Clean9 (c9) cleanse.
In these videos I document what I am doing through day 1 of the clean 9.
Inside the c9 box, was a shaker, the (soy) protein shake, the cup to measure of the aloe vera gel, the box with all the supplements we need eg. garcinia and therm. It comes in little capsules labelled for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also comes with a booklet with instructions.
The first stage is to take the garcinia tablet 30 minutes before eating food and before drinking my aloe vera gel.
Now that i've waited 30 minutes since taking my garcinia I can now drink my aloe gel (120 mls). As soon as you open the bottle of aloe vera gel it is important you keep it in the fridge, and remember to shake it well before pouring it too.
Forever Living also have another product called Joost which is full of vitamins and can be added just to water or your fruit juice. But it is especially handy to add into your aloe vera gel if you do not like the taste of the aloe vera. Because I have been drinking aloe vera gel for so many years, I do not have any problem with the taste because I am now used to it.
During the programme we can eat as much as we like of the food categorised as "free". And these are detailed inside the booklet.
Right now i'm drinking my protein shake and I haven't finished drinking it yet but i'm already starting to feel full. So I have no room now to eat my free foods (fruit & vege). I will enjoy them for sure when lunch time arrives!
I'm running behind schedule today so just now taking my mid morning snack consisting of the sachet of fibre to drink with 340 mls of water. I poured the "fibre" sachet into my water bottle and shook up and down before drinking. I've mixed it into my iced tea (herbal liqourice tea).
Well today has been manic! I have taken my "therm" tablets which helps with metabolism. My son and I enjoyed eating oranges and yellow capsicum. We have been eating very healthily here so goodness for all the family.
By the way, did you notice that I have discovered a new herbal tea called "liquorice tea" and I cannot seem to drink enough of it!
In summary, the pre-cleanse has helped tremendously to allow me to keep to the c9 programme. In this video I have woken up on day 2 of the c9 and I share my thoughts of how I think I got on with day 1 of the programme.
What is the pre-cleanse?
I made the decision to do the clean 9 (c9) cleanse for weight management and to feel better and get more energy. But I've done the c9 before (with great results) but I found it so hard to stick to it and I also suffered from terrible headaches from going cold turkey with cutting out the numerous cups of tea and coffee that I normally drank.
So this time, to help ease me into doing the c9, I’ve decided to do a pre-cleanse for the week before I start the clean 9.
I will be cutting down on the processed sugar and replacing it with fruit. I will be cutting down on the alcohol, tea and coffee.
This should help to reduce the headaches associated with sugar and caffeine withdrawals.
For the 7 days pre-cleanse I will be:- AVOID
• Reducing sugar and • Reducing processed foods • Eat lean protein • Reducing salt and avoid the bad fats • Reducing alcohol, tea and coffee and cut out fizzy drinks and concentrates
• Eat the good fats
• Drink aloe vera tea and other herbal teas
• Drinking more water
• Drinking hot water and lemon first thing in the morning and last thing at night
• Exercising 20 minutes per day
• Start making my own fresh juice at home using fresh fruit and vegetables
• Cook and eat soup using the pulp left over from my vegetable juicing
• Eat more fruits and vegetables.
As much of these vegetables as I want
3. Spring onion
4. Lettuce (all varieties)
12. String beans
Two servings of these per day:-
1. Asparagus 8 spears
2. Cauliflower ¹⁄₆ head
3. Pepper 1 medium
4. Sugar snap peas 14 pods
5. Tomatoes 1 medium
Only one serving of these per day:-
1. Apricot 3
2. Apple 1 medium
3. Artichokes 1 medium
4. Blackberries 144g
5. Blueberries 192g
6. Strawberries 8 medium
7. Cherries 84g
8. Figs 2 small
9. Grapes 69g
10. Grapefruit ½ medium
11. Kiwi 1 medium
12. Orange 1 small
13. Peach 1 medium
14. Pear 1 small
15. Plum 1 medium
16. Prunes 2 medium
17. Raspberries 130g
18. Soybeans 4
I’ll have to get the tape measurer out, as it’s a usual comparison if I take my measurements now so I can compare them to the end of the cleanse.
I’ll also need to pop out to the shops to pick up some more fruits and vege’s so I can enjoy a good variety!
